Abstract

Providing diverse QoS requirements in multimedia networks is a challenging task. Under a longrange dependent process, the loss rate does not decrease considerably as we increase the buffer size. In this paper, we investigate the advantages of adopting a multi-priority selective discard mechanisms over traditional two-priority mechanisms under a long range dependent process.
